Holiday Inn Resort Panama City Beach

The location of the hotel is wonderful, easy to find and located at the beach front. However, the hotel is pretty old and the facilities are aged without proper maintenance, unfortunately. The air con was the old style and was extremely loud. Service is kinda below my expectation thought - overcharged the resort fee and put it on my credit card again even I made the cash payment upon check in.

The hotel front desk agent tried to charge me twice for the hotel service fee. I booked through trip.com and had already paid for the hotel service fee which is $98 for 2 nights. After showing them the itemized receipt, they said it is the 3rd party service fee, not the hotel service fee. I told them I’m not paying another service fee. I’m glad I did not have to pay twice, but it was kind of ruin my day. Now there is another extra charge on my credit card placed by the hotel. I am in the process of disputing with my credit card. Overall, I like the place, but not the way they tried to charge for all these hidden or bogus fees. Note: the hotel is already expensive…

El servicio del staff es bueno, desde la recepción como en las áreas de bar y restaurante. Mi única observación sería en remodelar las habitaciones.

We booked here for 3 nights Was litter cold weather but there is warm swimming pool so we enjoyed.

This was our second time staying at this property. This time, the staff was so busy, they just couldn’t be bothered to be friendly. They were not mean or rude, just dismissive. The rooms were tidy, but there was some mold in the bathroom. A lot of things just seemed unkept. We were disappointed to see a lot of things that needed updating last year were the same this year. Nice convenient location. Great beach, very clean. Pool is actually heated, which was great! They give you towels at the pool. Not too many children’s activities and the ones that were scheduled were very short in duration. We wanted to take part in the bonfire one night and asked for the cost of a s’mores kit - $15! For a pack of $12 (you could sit at the fire without a kit). Overall, it was a nice stay, just small details that made it less pleasant.

I thought the staff was rude and didn’t use common sense. I had two guests meet me at the outside bar and the bartender refuse to give them water because they didn’t have a wristband. I tried calling the front desk to get them wristbands but nobody could help and the manager was apparently too busy. The bartender said he didn’t have a phone to call the front desk either. Really?? We are happy to go somewhere else that was happy to serve us.

I would recommend staying at this place. The pool is perfectly heated, they have different options of pools. And the beach access was perfect and the beach was perfect. The entertainment and the restaurants were good as well. The food around the area was amazing. If we come back we would definitely be staying here again.

Family Friendly resort! Has two pools (one for toddlers) a lazy river and a water playground! My kids loved it something for every one. Unfortunately it was a cold day however the pools were heated so that was a plus! The rooms set up was great we had a king bed and a twin/full bunk bed perfect for 3kids. Beds were comfortable. Most room only accommodate 2adults and 2kids. Room was clean and had a full size refrigerator and microwave. Had movie night by the pool, entertainment was good and lots of options for food on grounds a little $$ but convenient. Beach front property and they have a wristband set up to help determine who’s allowed in. Would recommend.
